Wow! What a great blog post. You are so right in all 11 steps. It has taken me some time and lots of aggravation and yes, a little bit of unintentional sliminess to figure out that the only way it works is to be real and truly care about others in social networking. And so so true!

I have known my bestest best friends since so many years, that it was before I even had a PC But texting, twittering, facebooking keeps you connected in ways that arent possible by phone (I cant just go call US, Germany and Japan to say: Crap, I hate monday mornings. But I can tweet it, and they read it and reply!) And I have gone through times where just noone around seemed to care for the same things I do, and on the internet the world is so small: There I found someone. Which I think is awesome.

Be yourself, have fun, tell them what you think, and discuss their thoughts – Someone will hear it and think the same

I don't have my own business (yet?! and just started tweeting a couple of weeks ago. But I can see that the engaging with people that have the same interests can make a big difference

Yes. So true. My fam thinks I'm a bit bonkers, but I get more support from the twitterverse than I do from my flesh and blood friends. I'm totally in awe of a few people's generosity. Every genuine comment or @ reply I've taken to my heart and stored it there. And it gives me courage to get on with it. I'm so excited to see where it wall leads. Cheers! and thanks EPW!
