For When You Try So Hard.

On Friday morning, I prayed.

I closed my eyes as I sat in front of my iMac at 5:52 AM and typed, “I try so hard.”

This is what I got back.

It’s not that hard. It’s actually simple.

Focus on what is really important. What you really do for people.

Focus. Keep things simple. What’s right in front of you.

Love. Faith. Trust. Accept. It’s all there.

You are fine just the way you are. I love you just the way you are.

I created you this way. Of course I love you this way.

You can do it. I believe in you.

Of course I do. I know all of you. I know who you are, what you are capable of, what you are built to be, to do.

It’s just you being yourself.

You don’t need to struggle, to fight so much. Just relax and be yourself and trust that I know what I am doing.

You will get what you really need, because I know what you really need (and it’s not what you think or what they say you need).

What you are supposed to do will be obvious, just listen. It will be in the flow for you.

You will love it because it will just be you being yourself, it will make you so happy.

It will be scary sometimes but that’s just because it’s real and important and you aren’t used to trusting like this.

I love you. Just the way you are.

Give your worries over to me. I already know all of them.

I can handle it. No problem.

This is where you need to be right now. This is it. Sitting here, typing. The most important thing for you to do right now.

You change the world just by being yourself. It’s true, when you say that. That comes from me.

Don’t worry about what those other people are saying or doing or say they are doing, they have their own journey and purpose and it’s not yours, there is no comparison, comparisons don’t even make sense. Apples and oranges, etc. Or maybe more like apples and monkeys.

Here’s a hug.

I’ll hold your hand all day, forever, as long as you let me. (And, even when you don’t.)

I love you.

And that’s what our right brain is meant for…the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Accessing that side of the brain is a gift beyond measure — that’s where the gold lies, the core of being, and our solace in difficult times. I love that you shared this with us, Elizabeth.

A beautiful post that comes from your inner well being.  Like the sun coming from behind the clouds, that well of love that is available 24/7 when we remember to just sit and allow it to come forth.

Oh, Elizabeth – I love this… and you. I love that you didn’t make this into some big cosmic ‘message from God’ but simply put it out there, as it came, gently, quietly… like God. So beautiful.

This is a great post E, glad you listened and typed, not dismissing it as it flowed.  From Matthew 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” You are valuable and free to be you.

Love this EPW. Really beautiful. Just love that personal relationship we get to have with God when we’re ready, willing and able to listen. Just like having a conversation with any other friend.  Well, not any other friend, but you know what I mean. :-)

Elizabeth, this is perfect. How wonderful that you were open to letting His message flow through you to all of us. Those are such important words for us to remember…every one of us. Thank you.

OH. hell. yes.  (and I think the Divine thinks its okay for  me to say hell, I’ve contemplated it long and hard — because after all it’s me, being me)  And yes. beautiful and true and honest.  thank you. for beingyou.  it is amazing!
