You Are Mom Enough.

There is a reason we moms are so susceptible to the shoulds of motherhood, to being judged and criticized for every choice we make as parents.

And that fundamental reason holds us back, obscuring the truth about our value as mothers.

Being a mom isn’t about how much stuff we do, those choices that we make.

Being a mom is about who we are being.

I tell you what, there is Mommy Guilt and Mommy Competition and Judging for everything under the sun, especially those you mentioned in your post. I’m not immune to feeling guilty sometimes, nor am I immune to secretly judging other mothers, but like everything, it’s a process, and thankfully, I’m getting better as the years go by. Being a mom has been the best and hardest job I’ve ever had, that’s for sure! Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth. Happy Mother’s Day, and here’s to all of us being “Mom Enough.”
