I agree with you! It's not Vegas for me (I don't love Vegas due to the superficial nature of the city) but New York City is my favorite city on the planet. I love the different burroughs, the energy of a city that never sleeps and the mixed culture.

It also seems to be a place that I introduce people to for their first time. It's also a place for some of my major life “firsts” and for major milestones. All in all, it holds a very special meaning for me. I get to go there next week to speak at WordCamp NYC and I'm stoked! :)

Thanks for sharing your perspective about what riles you up and I agree – certain places, people and things do that for me constantly. :)

    Keep sharing… xoxo

That is EXACTLY what NYC does for me!! And last May, I discovered I feel quite similar in DC, too! I totally get what you're saying and watching and listening to your “upstirredness” totally makes me have a 'feeling memory' of being in NYC!! Now, at this time, I am not able to travel to NYC, but, I am going to explore my world around me and see where I can find that “upstirredness” closer to home. Oh! You know what is REALLY close for me? Being in the woods – perhaps tomorrow I'll take a walk in the woods.

    Great video!!

Looking at the ocean also does it for me, in a more subtle way. Hence why I am moving to a place where I can look at the ocean every day.

Ah well, yeah, the mountains in Colorado do it for me in a BIG way, but, for now, I’ll just have to settle for these ‘bumps’ the natives around here call ‘mountains’. LOL

I love Vegas for the very same reason. NYC works well for most, but I grew up there so anytime I return, it's a huge nostalgia trip couple with “everything looks different”.

Stirring it up is so important. I need to do more of it. I am in a place in my life now where the thing-that-I'm-great-at is NOT the-thing-I-am-called-to-do. So stirring up is in order!

I have come to appreciate (I can't bring myself to say “love!”) the LV for the same reason! I'll be there at least 2, probably 3 or more times next year for seminars.

I want to do a lot of events next year and connect with some different peeps – even in the Internet Marketing space, there are a lot of powerful, amazing women I have yet to meet in person. Such as you!

Nature is one of the things that stir me up most- oceans, mountains, redwoods, sunsets, etc. I am also highly attracted to hot springs and things involving water- bubble baths, spas, and more. Then there are fun places like Las Vegas (where my daughter lives!), dance halls, and arcades that are full of neon lights and lots of energy that definitely get me moving inside and out. Beautiful colors, artistic works, orchestras, rock bands, aromatherapy, chocolate mousse, and so many other things really light my soul's fire.

I love life and using all my senses. Thanks for reminding me.

Occassionally? Sure. Yeah, right. :-) Well, I feel kind of weird seeing all the female action here on the comments but I guess what stirs me up is returning to a city atmosphere every 2-3 months. The town that I currently live in Tennessee is a great town, but it just lacks that energy you refer to in the video. Where you can walk at 10 o'clock at night and be surrounded by others just sharing that same energy. A month ago it was Chicago, and I love Chicago (miss you Windy one!). But I think pretty much for me, going back to a city atmosphere, really kicks me to a higher level. Especially a place where FourSquare works (here it doesn't and kills me to see all these tweets on how people are able to connect using it). See you again soon! –Paul

Yes! Travel. New surroundings. Being around people of a like mind that I communicate with online and then get to see in person. That is the coolest, most energizing thing and totally stirs me up. Glad I got to meet you in person in NYC. Hope to see you again. Definitely travel does it for me, and SD is so lovely. Torrey Pines Glider park is amazing at sunset.

Went out into the woods twice over the holiday while my mother was here – it was FAB-U-LOUS! I have a hurt foot and meant to sit and read my vampire book (both times) and let the rest of them go hiking around. I haven't been out to the 'big' woods in so long, though, that I absolutely couldn't resist 'the pull' – you know exactly what I mean! ;) So my foot is a bit sore, but, it was so worth it!

And you know what I realized when I was out there? The woods are my church. I've known this and even said this in the past – but, the other day when I was out there – I really, really felt. Pure delight and bliss, it was.

Wow, this video has been posted since last month. I'm just now seeing it, but the timing is SO right for me! I've been aware that I need to get away more often, and the value of 'small excursions' for just that purpose. Doesn't have to cost a small fortune to be a phenomenal experience.

Water & beautiful things inspire me. A change inspires me. I hadn't been excited about Las Vegas since the Luxor – and MUCH has happened since then! Quite a few times over. I became aware of CityCenter last week and it completely inspired me to get to Vegas ASAP! That definitely put Vegas on the short list of cool spots for me! :-) Can't wait see it!
